SPAM (Smart Patient Monitoring System) using Structural Similarity Index Measurement

Abstract. The number of patients in Hospital during pandemic covid-19 has increasing significantly which cause do not get the optimal service because limitation human resource. Furthermore, they need tools to detect patient’s room and monitor movement people. IoT capable control properly. Regarding these problems, aim this research is develop SPAM (Smart Patient Monitoring System) implement Internet Thing (IoT) patient hospital using Rasberry Pi. Those data are real-time completed by notification via telegram. Consequently, if there emergency can observe easily. We use Scructural Similarity Index Measurement (SSIM) technique comparing different images on several consecutive frames video methodology instrument preparation, design system, processing, testing evaluation. experiment prove that system effectively spotted things accurately captured camera more than 15 trials. Although a delay between 5 40 seconds, notifications also correctly transmitted. recognizes when light bright with lux > 100 evaluating level intensity at distance 50 cm 300 cm.
